A REMIAN RAIDER enjoying a KFC burger! What a celebration party it was.
REMIAN RAIDERS winners of the Level Next Talent Hunters Football tournament. Here is the trophy they worked hard for. Akib, the captain on the left, and Afif the team manager on the right, are quite happy!
INDEPENDENCE DAY for the U.S.A. It’s amazing to think that the U.S. was only 195 years old when Bangladesh became a nation!! We missed the fireworks usually a part of this day, but there were another kind of fireworks as the Remian Raiders celebrated their latest tournament win with a great meal at Kentucky Fried Chicken!!!

I doubt whether this recession has hit him yet, though the price of rice went up a bit.
HAPPY BIRTHDAY, BROTHER BOB!
Bob an I are both 60 years old. That makes us Irish twins. Irish twins are siblings that share the same age for a period of time, meaning of course that they were born less than a year apart. It is interesting that Alice and her sister are at this time both 61 years old. I don’t know if Bob was born at Noon, but if so, he was born smack in the middle of the year. That means this afternoon we are sailing into the second half of 2009!!

STREET DWELLER neighbor
Notice this fellows feet sticking out of his shelter. I’m not sure what put this fellow on the street. He has lived here for a long time. Every so often I buy him breakfast. One day I bought him a bag of rice. Later I saw him filling plastic bottles with the rice. I noticed that every grain he spilled was picked up to be used. I had wondered how he would survive Cyclone Sidr in 2007, but when the storm calmed I saw that he and his shelter were ok.
