Oak Hill Cemetery

View of cemetery from Port Washington Road

View of Port Washington Road as it climbs the hill. It is hard to visualize, but it is in the opening in the trees passing beside the farm buildings with the white fence. My wife loves to walk in this cemetery, and when possible, I join her, as I did this morning!

Two Surprising Delights

I stood in amazement in our Kitchen last evening, and gazed to the West! Wow, I saw the sunset. I think it may be the first time, I saw a sunset from within our house. There are houses west of us, and a good part of the town. Somehow with the change of seasons, the sunset was lined up, so I could see it from the kitchen, looking through the dining room window. Included in the photo would be the iconic town clock of the town square, and a rickshaw, an iconic figure of Bangladesh, where we spent 8.5 years of our lives. I suspect that last sentence, was a “run-on sentence!”

The second delight was to see two Carolina Wrens at our window feeder at the same time. This photo was taken on our clothes line pole, at some other time.

This is a view of our window feeder, with a house finch peeking around the side, to get a better view of the photographer!

My friend , and favorite singer John M Schmid, bringing joy and hope during this season. The setting was at the “Legends of Music Barn,” near Millersburg, Ohio, my home town!

Thanks, Rusty Baker, Artist, who graciously hosted this event! He has also painted murals in at least 200 cities and towns, worldwide!!

Elusive Carolina Wren

After several days of trying to capture a photo of a Carolina Wren, I was successful! We were walking on the Rails to Trails trail near Millersburg, Ohio.

As we walked on the walking trail, this white-tailed deer decided she wasn’t in any danger!

Super Moon

I was looking for a nice spot to photograph this full moon, but was not successful! So it goes.

A nice coincidence for someone who loves photography!¬† I also have 4 friends who have birthdays on this day, as well as Pres Bill Clinton and Orville Wright! Pres Bill Clinton is 1 year older than I am, and the Orville Wright passed away in January the year I was born! Interesting since, I have around 440 hours with my private pilot’s license! Not sure what Pres Bill Clinton and I have in common besides our birth dates!

My darling wife, Alice took me to Jitter’s Coffee Shop in Millersburg, Ohio. I had a great 20’s Reuben sandwich! Delicious!

Ingredients: Rye Bread, Corned Beef, Sauerkraut, Mayonnaise, and Swiss Cheese!
