So much to be thankful for!! Friends, including my wife who I walked with on this Rails to Trails trail near Millersburg, OH! Thanks for how God has led our 74 year old lives, including bring us together, in 1966. We are also blessed to have friends invite us to join them for lunch today!! Thanks, Jim and Jana!
Deer in front of me on the Rails to Trails trail, trying to figure out what I am! In case you noticed this photo was taken before the one on yesterday’s post!
White-tailed Deer on the move!
Millersburg, Ohio, Courthouse Clock Tower
Notice in the background the Holmes County Courthouse in Millersburg, Ohio shining in the morning sun. The Courthouse Clock Tower etc, has been in the renovation process for awhile.
View of cemetery from Port Washington Road
View of Port Washington Road as it climbs the hill. It is hard to visualize, but it is in the opening in the trees passing beside the farm buildings with the white fence. My wife loves to walk in this cemetery, and when possible, I join her, as I did this morning!
I stood in amazement in our Kitchen last evening, and gazed to the West! Wow, I saw the sunset. I think it may be the first time, I saw a sunset from within our house. There are houses west of us, and a good part of the town. Somehow with the change of seasons, the sunset was lined up, so I could see it from the kitchen, looking through the dining room window. Included in the photo would be the iconic town clock of the town square, and a rickshaw, an iconic figure of Bangladesh, where we spent 8.5 years of our lives. I suspect that last sentence, was a “run-on sentence!”
The second delight was to see two Carolina Wrens at our window feeder at the same time. This photo was taken on our clothes line pole, at some other time.
This is a view of our window feeder, with a house finch peeking around the side, to get a better view of the photographer!
They were in 7th and 8th place in the Holmes County Antique Festival 5K race in Millersburg, Ohio, as they passed our house!
