End of High School, and he end of the day! The beginning of the night, and the beginning of what’s ahead for graduates!

Striding for His Diploma

My youngest grandson at his High School Commencement ceremony! He was one of at least 400 graduates!

Yellow Beauty

The Prothonotary Warbler makes his appearance, but can’t totally hide behind this small branch! I still remember the thrill I had, when I first saw this beautiful bird! For those who have seen these last posts of birding at Magee Marsh. Would you have preferred to see all the photos on one post, or would your preference be, to see one a day?

Brilliant Orange

It is always a treat when this colorful orange and black, Baltimore Oriole shows up. We actually had some show up at our feeder this Spring! Likely they were just passing through, since we haven’t seen them recently. The catbirds do love the grape jelly we have put out for the Orioles!

Yellow Warbler

One of many warblers spotted during the Spring Migration at Magee Marsh, Ohio, a hotspot for catching sight of these beautiful birds.

On Guard

The parent eagle is handy to the nest with young, to fight off any predators!

Eyeball to Eyeball

Magnolia Warbler gets up real close! Of course I did crop the photo, so it wasn’t quite this close!

The Spring Warbler migration is basically finished. I was again delighted to travel to Magee Marsh, along Lake Erie, a hotspot for spotting warblers. I was able to add 14 new birds to my life list! I don’t know when I will see my next new species, which will put my recorded Life List to 300.
