Wears Valley

A nice surprise to come around a curve in the road and see these turkeys, with a great background for this photo. This was in Wears Valley, Tennessee next to the Smoky Mountains!

My dear wife being very patient while I was doing Bird Photography, and many times pointed out birds that I hadn’t seen yet!

Redbilled Leiothrix- Peking Robin-Nightingale- Babbler family-This was one of the birds that sat still long enough for me to get a photograph. I was using a Canon EF 7-300mm zoom lens.  It was shot at ISO 1250/150mm/f 5.6 and 1/400th of a second.  If I haven’t identified this bird correctly please let me know!

I decided to return and capture this beautiful kingfisher on a sunny morning. I also used a Tamron 2x converter with my 70-300 Canon lens on the 7D. I think it is a better photo than the last one I posted. Some of you may say,”another bird!”
