So much to be thankful for!! Friends, including my wife who I walked with on this Rails to Trails trail near Millersburg, OH! Thanks for how God has led our 74 year old lives, including bring us together, in 1966. We are also blessed to have friends invite us to join them for lunch today!! Thanks, Jim and Jana!

I am not sure I have ever seen any Amish walking on this Rails to Trails trail in Millersburg. The trail is so far from their homes they wouldn’t walk that far. I do see them quite often on the trail with their horse carriages or their bicycles. Over the years they have contributed a lot of money for the trail, because it gives them a safer route than coming to town the whole way on a two-lane highway. I suspect they had been at the nearby hospital, and decided to go for a walk.

A lady enjoying the Millersburg “Rails to Trails” trail which is a great place for walking. My wife was way ahead briskly walking her daily morning walk. I am lagging behind, with my camera and binoculars, getting distracted by birds and their sounds! I use the Merlin app, to identify bird sounds, and sometimes even get to see the birds. Looking forward to the Warbler migration which has already started, but will soon pick up speed! With the warm weather the leaves on the trees are starting to come out, which will give the warblers some cover, and make photographing them a challenge!

This couple is enjoying a morning walk at Twin Lakes in Florida. It is something to be grateful for, to still have a spouse that we continue to walk through life with, in our “Golden Years!” Golden, mostly because we have each other. My wife faithfully prepares food for my meals. She has also taken up doing the snow shoveling, and lawn mowing, because I am quite busy with my taxi work, and she enjoys the exercise! We have been blessed to have celebrated 55 Valentine’s Days, since we met in the fall of 1966, during our first year of University! Thank you, Sweetheart!

My wife, Alice, and our son, Dustin enjoying an early morning walk during the late Winter snowfall.

We meet a neighbor, and Alice joins her to catch up with the latest news. This is a close-up, and the next photo they qualify for a “Where’s Waldo” photo!

Another friendly neighbor is out making sure the squirrels have some food handy with this late snowfall. Do “April Showers Bring May Flowers” even if they are snow showers! It’s now April, so Spring should be right around the corner.

Schools Open in Ohio

Barefoot Girls on Country Road: It looks like a nice bouquet for the teacher
Oops! I wondered why my camera wouldn’t focus on the school boys. The camera decided to focus on the carved bird from Africa that my brother gifted me! Sometimes, like the camera, we get distracted from the main thing.

When schools are on main highways, children use these ladders to walk from field to field to get safely to their schools.

Oak Hill Cemetery

View of cemetery from Port Washington Road

View of Port Washington Road as it climbs the hill. It is hard to visualize, but it is in the opening in the trees passing beside the farm buildings with the white fence. My wife loves to walk in this cemetery, and when possible, I join her, as I did this morning!

Big Buck

Saw this nice buck in a park in San Antonio, during a walk!
