Palm Warbler

I was privileged to see a Palm Wrbler in Ohio, at Magee Marsh, and then four days later, I also saw this bird in Medina, New York, at the Ringneck Marsh, Iroquois Wildlife Nature Preserve.

I spent at least 8 hours in two days birding on this boardwalk: Magee Marsh-Ottawa County, Ohio, USA. Today “The “Biggest Week in America Birding” happens here. This is called the Warbler Capital of the World!

Mother Robin

Is Spring Here?

I saw a flash of orange, and sure enough, there were two robins in my back yard on January 6!!

Yellow Warbler, seen on the Magee Marsh Boardwalk, on Wednesday, May 9, 2018, during the “Biggest Week in American Birding!”  It truly was Warbler Heaven during this time. This is one of my best photos during that visit!  Using a Canon EOS 7D with a EF 70-300mm lens at: 300 mm; ISO 2500; f 25; 1/500 sec exposure.

IMG_6085I think I was 10 minutes too late to see this plow being pulled by a team of 4 horses.

Wren House Gets Snowed On

The snow will have to melt before any Wrens will want to make their home here! This snow has already melted and replaced, at least once! But we know that Spring will come! It has come faithfully every year, I can remember!!
