Day 14

They are standing in the doorway of Shaheen’s one-room dwelling in one of the many Bihari camps in Dhaka.  Sultan was dressed up to celebrate the festival, Muharram. The festival commemorates the martyrdom of the prophet Mohammed’s grandson- Hazrat Imam Hussein.

Day 13

THIS ROOSTER WAS OUR ALARM CLOCK while at Hotel Lumbung Damuh in Bali, Indonesia!   His is in the little yard just beside the steps that led up to our lumbung.  The lumbung was on pillars, and we were served our tea and meals under it.

A VIEW OF MOUNT BATUR ON THE Island of Bali, Indonesia.  Mount Batur is a volcano, with an altitude of 1717 meters above sea level.  We climbed this volcano early one morning.  It last erupted in 1994.
