This woodpecker has been coming to our bird feeder. He loves the peanuts. We have a pair of bluebirds that returned again this year and have hatched little ones. One of the adult bluebirds keeps dive-bombing this woodpecker. He must be very territorial!

That’s a female Red-bellied Woodpecker. The males have all red on the top of their head down to their beak.
