I reblogged this post:

HAPPY BIRTHDAY to my Mom!! My mother (Fannie Jane Beachy Miller) on left from Sarasota, Fl, Mary Beachy Miller (Mrs. David L. Miller) from Kansas in the center, and on the right, Esther Beachy Zook (Mrs. Henry Zook) from Kalona, Iowa where the three sisters grew up.  They are the daughters of Ananias Beachy and Ella Mae Shetler.  My mother is celebrating her 86th birthday today.  This photo was taken in the summer of 2006 in front of Henry’s house.  David’s had just arrived from Kansas, and Mom and I from Ohio.  I saw them greeting each other, noticed the similar dresses and decided this is a great photo-op and so here it is. The Beachy Sisters!

Day 244

OUR LIVING ROOM (Boshen Gor) which is just inside and to the right of our apartment entrance.  Teresa Miller from Colorado, and Margaret Byler from Viriginia are visiting for a week.  She is Matthias and Ellis’ cousin.

HAPPY BIRTHDAY to myself!  This photo of me was taken in 1978!

Day 229

PARTICIPATION TROPHY being received after the final match at the Towne Hall Field Tournament.  It was a big event with a band and lots of firecrackers.  I was introduced at the opening ceremonies and was with the long line of dignitaries of the Towne Hall Market Committee, etc. to shake the hands of the players of the two teams in the final match.  It was a fun evening.

Day 216

REFRESHING DRINKS for my grandsons.  I just returned from a local store with a bag of Diet Pepsi and water.  Ricky, the awesome Remian Raider’s goalie wonders if he could have a drink.  I was more than glad to share with him.  My grandsons and I spent almost five at this football tournament in Banani.  They had a great time.

Cold drinks for a hot day! Riley, Myself, and Ricky

Day 205

HAPPY BIRTHDAY DUSTIN

Last night we celebrated Austin’s (July 19 B.D.) and Dustin’s (July 24 B.D.).  Austin turned 36 and Dustin 34 years old.  Each blowing out their candle with one blow.  It was a Pistacchio cake.  Of course Alice fixed her excellent smoked chicken, mashed potatoes, gravy, as well as hot and cold vegetables.   It was a good time to catch up with Austin’s who had just returned from Bali, Indonesia on Tuesday evening.

THE POTTER, my son Austin!  I couldn’t resist another of my son since it was his 36th Birthday yesterday.  Here he is at work in his studio in Ohio.  He sold his kiln when he moved to Bangladesh.

Steady does it!

Day 200

HAPPY BIRTHDAY to my son, Austin & my sister, Lillian!!  Here is a self-portrait Austin painted.   I took the photo at his house while celebrating his Bachelor’s Degree in Art from the University of Akron, in 2007.

Austin, the artist!

Day 194

GRANDMA with her grandsons, Riley, Pruitt and Jensen.  They were all in a festive mood since it was her birthday.

Let the good times roll!

Day 183

HAPPY BIRTHDAY, BROTHER BOB!

Bob an I are both 60 years old.  That makes us Irish twins.  Irish twins are siblings that share the same age for a period of time, meaning of course that they were born less than a year apart. It is interesting that Alice and her sister are at this time both 61 years old.  I don’t know if Bob was born at Noon, but if so, he was born smack in the middle of the year.  That means this afternoon we are sailing into the second half of 2009!!

Here is a photo of Bob with his wife Rachel.
