Day 348

Day 347

YOUNG BIHARI GIRL brushing her teeth and checking out the foreign photographer!

“MERRY CHRISTMAS ADVANCE” ( The greeting they give here for an early holiday greeting) HERE I AM GETTING READY TO DELIVER COOKIES TO THE other 31 apartments in our building.  Since we are leaving for Indonesia on Saturday, we thought we would get this done early.  I got many invitations to come in and drink tea, eat snacks, and visit.  It was a very enjoyable time.  We have very nice neighbors!

Day 345

SHARMIN  wondering what the elephant will do next!  I of course couldn’t tell these girls apart.  They were a part of the photo club I went to Moulovibazar with to photograph, tea gardens,  birds at a haor, and waterfall.  It was too late in the season and the waterfalls was barely a trickle so didn’t go see it.  Also it was too early to see the Winter birds at the haor, but all in all it was a good trip.  I hope to join them for a trip to another haor in Northeastern Bangladesh in February, when many Winter birds will be residing.

Day 343

TWO LITTLE BENGALI CHILDREN WITH baby goats in a Munshiganj area village.  I would have posted pictures of the care packages from America, but a part of those goodies was my repaired camera.  The photos I took were with my friend’s camera.

Day 341

BEAUTIFULLY DRESSED little Bengali girl looking upward!

Day 340

HERE I AM IN A MUNCHIGANJ village with some young relatives of Halim.

Day 339

BENGALI LADY GETTING water for cooking.

YOUNG BENGALI GIRL.  THINKING? Or sad?

Day 337

HERE I AM TAKING A PRETEND PHOTO OF A dragonfly.  It is also not my camera.  I just borrowed for this self-portrait.  I was surprised later to see this dragonfly passing by, who couldn’t resist joining the photo-op.

Day 336

THESE ARE NEIGHBORS OF OURS.  I think the boys are brothers and the girl is their house helper. It was Korbani Eid and they were watching the sacrifice of the cows.
