Day 27

CHOWRASTA MALL in Darjeeling, India.  This is the sight that greeted us as we returned from a little hike to see the sunrise hit the Kanchenjunga Mountain range.  Early mornings are great times to capture photos, as well as a good time to get your daily walk in.

Day 20

YOUNG GIRL in Darjeeling

HERE I AM STANDING in the street with the mo mo steamer I purchased.  With the obvious cold, I was wearing the Nepali style hat that I had purchased.  It was knitted and very warm.  Grab the braids and tie them under your chin and you’re even warmer.  So with the bananas under my arm, and my camera on the ready I was ready to head for the hotel!

COOKS IN THE KUNGA Restaurant (Tibetan) where we had some delicious meals.

YOUNG LADY walking through the market area.  I loved the hat!

ALICE AND DUSTIN browsing the market stalls (looking for warm clothes?)

Day 15

ROOM A8 in the Dekeling Hotel, Darjeeling was where we spent 10 days.  A very homey, friendly atmosphere.  We enjoyed the pot-bellied stove in the main lounge area!

A FAMILY FROM Kolkata that we met in Darjeeling.
