Last Ride

The front carriage is carrying the casket of my Uncle on the way to the countryside cemetery.

The Buggy returns home empty, to the home place where my father grew up. It was a 1/2 mile walk to the cemetery. I visited this home many times as a lad. So much nostalgia here. Playing in creek, etc. RIP Uncle Christ!

Nostalgia

I remember playing with these toys a loooong time ago!

Bye Gone Era

Seeing these items on the shelf of a furniture store brought back memories of “Days Gone By”!

At least here in Bangladesh! Takes me back to the days when we baled hay and put it into the barn, sometimes 1,000 bales in one day. At the end of the day, one of the rewards was cold, sweet watermelon!

Target Game

This reminds me of a game we had when I was a young boy, in which we used a rubber-band shooter or dart-shooter to flip birds off of a perch!

8N Ford – Nostalgia

This auction was the place to be if you need a tractor! This is the kind of tractor, I was driving on our farm, some 60 years ago! Nostalgia for sure! Now downsizing, so no need to buy it!

Nostalgia

This reminds me of the water faucets we had on the farm. They were designed so they wouldn’t freeze up in the winter time! Not sure if Iowa was the name of the company that made them. These were in our local cemetery, and the “Iowa” caught my eye, since that is where I grew up.

Daisies

Daisies are always special. We had daisies for our Wedding flowers. And then were shocked as we were hiking on our honeymoon, and right in front of us was a large patch of daisies.

Washington, Iowa, the town I was born in!

Nosalgia: Iowa the state where the corn grows tall! Just visited last weekend, and the corn is just getting a good start. Good to be “home” again! A great time with friends and relatives!

Grape Arbor Nostalgia

Seeing this grape arbor, brought back memories of childhood, picking blue concord grapes, right off of the vine, and popping them into my mouth. I guess it’s one way of getting immunity for the young and innocent!

I remember when I was a young boy, milking a cow with a one-legged stool! Here these three men are demonstrating how to use the stool. Nostalgia

For all my great Canadian friends! This is the Luscombe in which I logged most of my 440+ hours as a pilot! Nostalgia!
