My attempt at taking a photo of this Amish farmer in the field with his team of horses, fertilizing with cow manure. I thought it would be a nice addition to the corn stalk shocks! It is unique, though you might need a magnifying glass to see the farmer. It doesn’t help that there was a post between the horses and me! I am still pondering whether to get a telephoto lens for my Sony alpha6000.
Smiles. No , in answer to your question about the telephoto lens. You can do without it. Just use your eyes, and you can get a free editing program online to zoom in a bit — if you must. But taking pictures with whatever camera is available is best when one really wants to share what they have seen. Nice entry, cool photos. I’d say if you were doing sports photography, or something like that, you might want a zoom lens or some kind of expensive cameras but even then, it depends on whether your plan is to sell your pictures or to just enjoy them and share them with like-minded people. Whatever you do, if you listen to your gut instinct (since you know best for you), then you will have made the right decision. Ahh, pray about it. There you go. You have the answer right inside of you. Peace. artfromperry

Oh, I love ‘drive by’ photography. There are just some things that we must get a picture of. And it’s so cool to just pull over by the side of the road to get that picture. And, so here’s a question for you. If you see a whole herd of cows out there in the field, behind the fences and they are all facing away from you, how do you get them to turn around and face you? Smiles, yea, trick question. Seems that the cows that are out on the road get really used to the road sounds and horn honking and all that – out in our country places that are near the cities. But there is one thing that will make them turn around to face you and then you can get that good shot of the cows. (No, it’s not food. We’re talking just what what you have there in the car, nothing edible). Peace . artfromperry

Ah, another great shot! OK here’s to appreciating so much about this photo. The review mirror, Christ does not look at what is in our past. And the post, it is in the shape of a cross, when we focus on what Christ did on the cross, we don’t need to see clearly what is on the other side.
