I remember standing at that spot with Grandma earlier this year. I can’t remember whether she actually said anything like it, but I can imagine her saying something like, “Well, look at that; my name is on that stone. Why in the world would my name be on there? I’m still alive and kicking!” I’m glad I was able to see her and spend some time with her when I was home this last time.

Oh Marland, I am so, so sorry to read that your beloved mother died.

I am coping! It is caring friends like you, who have brought comfort in so many ways to soothe the pain. We do so cherish the last 3.5 years that we lived only a mile away, and could visit often. It was nice to be greeted early this morning by these comforting words!

Hi Marland, I am glad to hear you are doing okay. I completely understand that sense of having been so close over the last years. It makes such a difference.

Yes, we do. My wife at 3 am, and I at 5, unless I wake up at 3 or 4, and can’t get back to sleep. Of course we may be in bed at 8 or 8:30 pm, and for sure by 9. Thanks friend.
