Day 270

TAYLOR, OUR NIECE, sure grew up since we saw her in 2007.   I guess we all are 3 years older, and hopefully wiser!  Oh, by the way, we landed at the airport in Dhaka at 11:40 PM on Thursday the 22nd of September.

Day 269

Day 267

HAPPY 11TH BIRTHDAY TO our grandson, Jensen Isaiah Miller!! Here he is trying to light the candles on his birthday cake.  He decorated the cake.  Of course this birthday celebration was early, since we were leaving for Bangladesh before his birthday.  Sorry, Jensen, Grandma’s calendar says your birthday is not till the 26th!

Day 265

MY COUSIN, AN AMISH GENTLEMAN entering the grocery store in Berlin, Ohio.

Day 263

DUSTIN, OUR SON making some Nan (Indian bread) that his brother Austin stirred up and rolled out.  Austin and Marita made a fine Asian meal including Chicken Tikka Masala.

Day 261

FOURTY-FOUR YEARS AGO TODAY I met my beautiful wife, Alice.  Since we were innocent young 18 year-olds we decided to wait 1,000 days to get married.  It seemed like a loooong time!

Day 255

DUSTIN, OUR SON pondering his next scrabble move.  If you want some stiff competition, play against him!

Day 252

MY COUSIN MARVIN and his wife Janice enjoying the picnic.

Day 246

HAPPY 87TH BIRTHDAY TO MY MOTHER, Fannie Jane Miller

My Mother with Alice, my wife when Mom arrived from Florida to spend some time with us.

My Mother with Pauline (Alice’s sister).  Mom made this wall-hanging from some ties that Mark Zehr (Pauline’s deceased husband) used to wear.  Pauline was pleased with this gift.  My Mother has been quilting quilts, wall-hangings, etc. for a long time.

Here is Mom wearing the card she found in the gift shop to buy.  I then paid for it, and the clerk said she needs to pass it on to friends to wear when it is their birthday.

Day 234

DUSTIN, MY SON, and I posing during a walk through the woods.

Day 228

MY BROTHER-IN-LAW TOM catching up on daily news!
