PARTICIPATION TROPHY being received after the final match at the Towne Hall Field Tournament. It was a big event with a band and lots of firecrackers. I was introduced at the opening ceremonies and was with the long line of dignitaries of the Towne Hall Market Committee, etc. to shake the hands of the players of the two teams in the final match. It was a fun evening.

MOHAMMADPUR FRIENDS CLUB, the team I sponsored for a tournament. They lost last night in the semi-finals.
REFRESHING DRINKS for my grandsons. I just returned from a local store with a bag of Diet Pepsi and water. Ricky, the awesome Remian Raider’s goalie wonders if he could have a drink. I was more than glad to share with him. My grandsons and I spent almost five at this football tournament in Banani. They had a great time.

After 2 weeks of thriling contests between all the top teams of underground football…..JOSephites SOCCER KNIGHTS beat 7NA in a classic final ..full time score was 0-0…but JSK won in penalty….nice keeping by TANZIR…JSK beat rapid fc 2-0 in their semi final and 7NA beat REMIAN RAIDERS on penalty after 1-1 draw.
CLOWN BETEL NUT HAWKER chuga-lugging what was left of Matthias’ Diet Pepsi. He saw it in Matthias’ hand and thought he had to have it. In the second photo you see the fizz escaping. He was a clown and sure distracted people from the game. Our team lost 3-2 in this semi-final game of the tournament! 😦
MONSOON RAINS are here. Here are two fellows who used to play with the Remian Raiders waiting between games, oblivious to the rain. It is refreshing after the heat.

REMIAN RAIDERS win the “Level: Next….Talent Hunters” Underground Tournament with a stunning defeat of the “Soccer Knights, 2-0 in the final match. Here is a photo of the jubilant team. In addition to the satisfaction of winning they also won 20,ooo taka and a nice trophy.
