Background photo taken in Michigan, Center insert photo in San Antonio, and the small insert taken in Malta! Merry Christmas to all my Blog followers, and visitors!! Hope it is a festive joyous occasion for you all. If not I pray, you will be surrounded by friends and/or family who can show you comfort, and compassion, with whatever you are going through!
I was planning to post a fantastic post yesterday!! Didn’t happen! Maybe too busy with Birthday celebration! 🙂 Yesterday was my 71st birthday, as well as World Photography Day. Interestingly enough, World Photography Day started 9 years before I was born! For those who care, I will describe the cake! First a layer of chocolate brownie, holes punched in it and raspberry jello poured over the brownie cake. Then a layer of thickened red raspberries, and white chocolate pudding with whipped topping for icing. It was quite tasty. I guess they thought I might not be able to blow out 71 candles with one blow! Have a great day, as I am starting my 72nd year.
I am sitting on the left, likely looking at a bird! Of course, we weren’t invited to be in this photo! Bengalis love to take photos of their family with foreigners!
Today it’s back to normalcy, if there is such a thing for those of us in the “Golden Years!” By the time you see this post we will hopefully be in our own bed, trying to recover from a “door to door” 42 hour trip home. This did include early trip to airport, because of some election day travel restrictions, and a 7 hr. layover in Boston! Not sure how much cold and snow we missed, during the month of February, but we sure enjoyed the balmy temps of Bangladesh!
After an hour of football this morning, then a one hour walk to the North End Coffee Roasters Shop in Dhanmondi with my wife, we were ready for lunch! White Mocha coffee, and roast beef and cheese sandwich. This is a must-do coffee shop if visiting Dhaka, Bangladesh!
