DIPTI AND JAMES, WITH THEIR 8-MONTH OLD DAUGHTER SOPHIA VISITED IN OUR HOME LAST EVENING.  James gave me a copy of “Bangladesh NATURE QUEST,” WHICH IN THIS March-May 2012 issue feature an article of his entitled, “The Padma, A place for all seasons!  Good work, James!  For the evening meal, my dear wife Alice treated us with french fries, french pizza, salad, hot veggies, a fresh veggie plate, and a delicious trifle dessert.

I would love to get feedback on how you like the new theme I am using with header:  Twenty-Ten.

TTL PHOTOGRAPHERS AT TT’L’S BIF 4 AT DRIK GALLERY!  Sometimes a photo of someone being photographed is a nice variety from the posed photos.  If a fellow TTLer could comment with their names, I would gladly edit the post to include their names.

FAMILY PHOTO

OUR GUESTS TOOK THIS PHOTO!

Alice, Dustin and I.

THIS SHOP OWNER WANTED A PHOTO OF HIM AND HIS WORKERS.  It is shops like this that provide long strings of lights (similar to Christmas lights in America) that hang from 8-12 story buildings.  They are a beautiful sight at night.  They are used on the apartment buildings if one of the tenants is getting married.  Even the National Parliament building has these kind of lights strung during many holidays, like Independence Day.

It is amazing that we are in Day 100 of 2012 already!

WAITING FOR CUSTOMERS!

A PILE OF WATERMELONS WITH THE SELLER PERCHED ON TOP OF THEM IN MIRPUR 1, DHAKA, BANGLADESH.

We sure have been enjoying the taste of this fruit.  A small one will likely cost 1.40 USD.

TASTY WATERMELONS!

HERE I AM WITH ANOTHER FRUIT STALL OWNER!  They sure know how to arrange their fruit in a pleasing manner.

FRUIT STALL OWNER GLAD TO POSE WITH HIS FOREIGNER FRIEND!

THIS HANDICAPPED MAN CAN BE FOUND DAILY BEGGING AT TOWN HALL BAZAAR.

He wanted my guests to take a photo of him and me.

HERE I AM WITH A MAN WHO ALWAYS GREETS ME WITH A SMILE AS HE SCOOTS AROUND WITH HIS 4-WHEELED "VEHICLE!"

This gentleman wanted his photo taken with these foreigners, probably especially with the lady!  The other fruit sellers tease him by telling me he is a terrorist!  He is a lot of fun.  I’m sure in the days to come he will ask me where his copy of the photo is!

THREE BIG SMILES!

OUR GUESTS AND US DREW AT CROWD AT THE SHAH ALI MAZAR IN MIRPUR-1.

IT WAS A PLEASURE TO SEE MY FRIEND, RUBEL AS WE WERE LEAVING THE MARKET.

Since guests came with cameras I am able to post more photos of myself.  One of the hazards of being the photographer in the family, is fewer photos of myself!

RUBEL AND I! Rubel with a big smile as always! Rubel must have been looking at the wrong camera!
