Cascading Fruit

To our U.S. friends, to our Canadian friends who have already lost all the weight they might have gained at their Thanksgiving meal, and to our friends worldwide, whom we are thankful for!

God Gives Us Richly All Things to Enjoy!  I dug this photo out of the archives! 2008

Delicious Breakfast

No, the ketchup was not for the fruit or the muffins!

(Bangla) Katal, the national fruit of Bangladesh!  You either love it or you don’t!

After a morning football (soccer) match they shared this fruit with us. Credits go to my son, Austin for the photo. I had taken my grandson to the field to play football with these guys, trying to get in a few matches before Ramadan started.

The one photo is of me reaching for my “bulb” of Jack Fruit!  It is a species of tree in the mulberry and fig family.

These were some of the carts we met every morning at 5:45 am on the road that goes into Srimongol, Molouvibazar, Syhlet, Bangladesh! It is a lovely walk through the tea estates.

My friend Rasel invited me to his sister’s house for a nice meal of jumbo shrimp, curried veggies, beef, chicken and pangash mach (fish), and other veggies, and rice.  The meal was topped with this dessert and then followed by some good Bengali cha (tea).  Thanks Rasel!

It was special to go to Platinum Suites in Banani with my good friend for their breakfast buffet!  The buffet included omelets, beef bhuna, chicken sausage, pancakes, sauteed potatoes, alu bhuna, conjee soup and other items.

FRUIT STALL

HERE I AM WITH ANOTHER FRUIT STALL OWNER!  They sure know how to arrange their fruit in a pleasing manner.
