
I dropped off an Amish family at their relative’s place for church, driving on bare gravel road. Seven hours later it had turned into a “Winter Wonderland” with snow and deep buggy tire tracks. I did make it home safely.

I dropped off an Amish family at their relative’s place for church, driving on bare gravel road. Seven hours later it had turned into a “Winter Wonderland” with snow and deep buggy tire tracks. I did make it home safely.

These Amish youth are enjoying this cold weather to get some ice skating in. On some ponds they also play ice hockey. I think this photo shows them playing a game, where they tag people on the other team, and they can only be released when you sneak behind the lines and tag them. This cold spell lasted almost 4 weeks. I think the skating ended several days ago. It is pouring “cats and dogs” today. Forecast is for some freezing rain, which I hope doesn’t happen.
