REMIAN RAIDER heads the ball for a goal.¬† It was disqualified because the corner flag was taken down for the corner kick! ūüė¶

MAHBOOB, the striker in action.

Mabub showed his great style putting the Remian Raider’s only goal into the net with gusto, with the help of Asif.¬† This was not his goal shot, but an earlier shot of him centering the ball.¬† The Raiders finished the game with a 1-1 score requiring a shoot-out.¬† They won the shoot-out so are in the semi-finals¬†his afternoon at the Abohani field in Dhanmondi.¬†

CORNBREAD – Nepali style!

This morning I went to a local hotel (restaurant) and had a great breakfast of bhaji (spicy veg) and nan-ruti (one kind of Bengali bread) for 20 tk (30 cents U.S.D).  I decided to show you the cornbread as they fix it in Nepal.  This piece of bread, made with corn meal,  is hollow.  and  is quite tasty.

ALICE WITH ALETA a friend of ours who is now home in New Zealand for the Summer holidays.  Next year she will be teaching Jensen at the Grace International School in Gulshan, Dhaka.
