Day 240

RAINY DRIZZLE drives these little boys into the shelter of an idle rickshaw on Assad Ave.  This was the posed shot.  I didn’t have my camera out of my bag while walking.  I spied this shot,  my camera, changed lenses, and by that time the little boys, several Towne Hall Coolies, and bystanders had surrounded me. So in this shot they don’t have that curled up position which made me want to capture the photo.  Moral of the story: Always have your camera ready.  I heard Rule # 1 for capturing good photos, is to always have your camera with you!  Obviously, I obeyed that rule, but broke another rule!

REFRESHING DRINKS for my grandsons.  I just returned from a local store with a bag of Diet Pepsi and water.  Ricky, the awesome Remian Raider’s goalie wonders if he could have a drink.  I was more than glad to share with him.  My grandsons and I spent almost five at this football tournament in Banani.  They had a great time.

Cold drinks for a hot day! Riley, Myself, and Ricky

Day 205

HAPPY BIRTHDAY DUSTIN

Last night we celebrated Austin’s (July 19 B.D.) and Dustin’s (July 24 B.D.).  Austin turned 36 and Dustin 34 years old.  Each blowing out their candle with one blow.  It was a Pistacchio cake.  Of course Alice fixed her excellent smoked chicken, mashed potatoes, gravy, as well as hot and cold vegetables.   It was a good time to catch up with Austin’s who had just returned from Bali, Indonesia on Tuesday evening.

PENCIL TRICKS

I stopped at this boy’s home and gave all the children a pencil.  This young lad found many things to do with his pencil.  Here he is sticking it up his nose!  Little boys are creative aren’t they!

Day 102

SWEATING

This young boy was helping to push this load down the street on a vangari in the middle of a traffic jam.  My rickshaw wallah told him I was taking his photo so he turned around and gave me a big smile.  It was a pleasure to see him working instead of on a street corner begging.

Loving Life!
