Day 158

MYSELF CAUGHT in the eye of the lens by Pruitt, my 9 year old grandson.

Day 111

I AM ENJOYING PAHELA BAISHAKH at Dhaka University with the TTL  (Through the Lens) Bangladesh photo club members.  We all wore these bandanas.

Day 102

MY FRIEND GRABBED MY CAMERA and took a photo of me while in Kumarkhali.

Day 85

INDEPENDENCE DAY in Bangladesh! This photo was actually taken by a Bengali journalist who is working in Japan and was visiting the Boi Mela on Ekushi Day.

Day 59

PAINTERS AT WORK on the wall and on my face and hand!   I attended the annual Boi Mela (Book Fair) organized by the Bangla Academy on the last day of the month long Mela.  They had many painters who were ready to paint the national flag, map or minar.  My hand was done free when I ran into the painter I had met earlier but didn’t ask to have any painting done.  He insisted on doing my hand at no charge!

Day 44

HAPPY VALENTINE’S DAY TO MY SWEETHEART!  We celebrated our first Valentine’s Day together in 1967.  This photo was taken in Pokhara, Nepal.  We had just returned from a 4 day trek in the Annapurna range, climbing to Poon Hill and back. We had to do a visa run and used this opportunity to go to Nepal and celebrate our 40th wedding anniversary.

Day 12

RELAXING DURING a stop on the mountainous road from Siliguri to Darjeeling.

MO MO MAKING LESSONS at the Hot Stimulating in Darjeeling.  This activity which was mentioned in the “Lonely Planet” was enjoyed by Austin (my son) and I.  We each bought Mo Mo steamers and are planning a family Mo Mo party for this weekend.  Pruit (our grandson) asked if we could show him how to make them.

THE THINKER!  I am thinking it was cold in Darjeeling and soon after returning to Bangladesh, it turned cold here as well.  Of course, we feel it because the only heat we have is the gas burners or oven!  These last 10 days (today is actually Jan 22) I have worn this hat at times indoors.

A NEW YEAR HAS ARRIVED and we hope it is filled hope, joy, and peace for all our friends.

Day 359

MERRY CHRISTMAS TO ALL OUR FRIENDS!!  Since I am in Darjeeling, India and decided to upload this photo to be published on Christmas Day, I am using one from last Christmas Day.  I am at the Gulshan 1 Pizza Hut with two of my Miller cousins, Wilma and Paul.

Day 351

MUSTACHE BITES THE DUST!  Thanks for all who voted.  Thursday late afternoon I went to the barber and for 60 tk (90 cents) he cut my hair and removed my mustache!  My wife is very happy to have her husband back!
