A photo taken after our first snowfall of the season. But if we have our warm coats, ice scrapers, shovels, and other winter gear ready, we are “Good to Go! Stay warm and safe! Happy Winter!
This photo was taken at a pull-off for a scenic outlook! I ended up looking in the wrong direction at the wrong end of the parking lot. I am not sure at the other end I could have seen any farther down the canyon! Lots of snow and reduced visibility. This was on the road from Tennessee to North Carolina on Route #26.
Somehow these ponies escaped and ran down the road. I was shocked to see this Amish father ands son each with a pony and one running loose. Not sure if only one got out and they rode the others to go find them or what! It amused me to see them coming down the snow covered road.
It was nice to see this regal animal on our first of snow!
The first snow for this season!
What chore do you find the most challenging to do? Shoveling snow!
4 am cleaning off the car; bkfst with friends, and then picking up some of my boss’s family, and birding. Obviously we could set up the scope on the road, since it was flooded and nobody was going on past this point. Saw many birds, but only one new bird! It always felt good to get back in to the car, to travel to the next site.
