A special day in which people either dress in yellow or red! A festive occasion, for sure. Red would be the typical color for Valentine’s Day, and Yellow, for the First Day of Spring. These holidays fall on the same day in Bangladesh. Those days are a street photographer’s paradise!
Hope you are all feeling loved today! May those who have lost a companion, have close friends to comfort them during this holiday. This is the 55th Valentine’s Day that my wife and I have celebrated, the first three times were while we were courting!!
After an hour of football this morning, then a one hour walk to the North End Coffee Roasters Shop in Dhanmondi with my wife, we were ready for lunch! White Mocha coffee, and roast beef and cheese sandwich. This is a must-do coffee shop if visiting Dhaka, Bangladesh!

Dhaka streets looked colorful yesterday with many ladies dressed in red saris! Many gift shops had loads of items such as sweetheart mugs, cards, etc. to help people celebrate Valentine’s Day. I even bought my wife a bouquet of red roses!
