VEGGIE RAP

My grandson, Riley helped sing a song called “Veggie Rap”, in which he was dressed in green as the (green) bean!

Ok, let's start.

This photo was taken in the foothills of the Himalayas on a trek up to Poon Hill.

Looking at what?

Day 1

DRINKING TEA

I decided to interrupt the Nepal photos with this photo my friend took of me sipping Bengali tea during a photo shoot in Old Dhaka.  A bus driver who ran the route from Holmes Co., Ohio to Sarasota, Fl. was discussing me with my Mom in Florida.  He said it is the fellow who looks out over the top of his glasses.  I guess he was right!  I’d like to thank my friend Matthias, who dropped this photo onto my desktop while I was in Nepal.

Tea drinking camerist being watched.

Day 153

FISHTAIL MOUNTAIN as seen from our Hotel room veranda in Pokhara, Nepal.  This was our first view of the mountains, the morning after we arrived in Pokhara.

Great view!

BANANA LASSI

Here I am enjoying a banana lassi.

Refreshing drink.

ALICE had a lot of fun in the bookstores in Thamel, Kathmandu, Nepal as well as in Pokhara.  Here she is selecting some for her grandsons.  She spent hours in these stores while I went out and did other shopping.

POLICE WOMAN in Thamel.  They kept the rickshaws and any other vehicles from blocking the narrow streets.

RICKSHAW DRIVER in Thamel, who kept trying to get me to take a rickshaw to where I was going.

FRESHLY SQUEEZED Orange/Pineapple Juice.  Here is this street vendor in Thamel, Kathmandu, Nepal filling a glass with juice.

ALICE, my dear wife examining the flower garden behind our hotel in Thamel, the “Hotel Buddha.”

A Sweet Rose in the Flower Garden!

Day 146

SANTOSHI, my Nepali daughter!  She works at the trekking company that arranged out trek.  She is a very fine young lady, who does a wonderful job.  It was a pleasure to become acquainted with her.   She made sure we were well taken care of.  I think she was a little worried about us trekking, though very pleased when she found out we had a wonderful time trekking 4 days in the Anapurna area.

Sweet Smile
