I wanted to be able to play a game of marbles with my 97-yr-old mother before she dies. She is in an assisted living facility, and I hadn’t played marbles with her since March 12, 2020. Two days ago we were able to play marbles with her, in her room!!!!! So much felt like normal!!

Oh that’s great you see it like that too. I will let you see it before I do anything with it. It’s just thought process now but so heartwarming. I hope your mother is keeping well. She must have been delighted with your visit.

I guess so but she and Dad cared for me right to the very end of their lives in a very parental way. I don’t buy this idea that a lot of people have that roles reverse when parents age. I was always the child in our relationship.
