Awesome! 🙂 I remember learning about how to tell the difference between a couple of those woodpeckers by whether or not there was a black vertical line breaking the white horizontal band around the side and back of the head. Looks like this one has it.

Yes, indeed! 🙂 It would be interesting to keep learning more about ‘the world of birds’. As with any field, the more you learn, the more you realize you don’t know. 🙂

We have many woodpeckers in surrounduing woodlands and by the river. They’re neat to see–but I agree, not sure we’ve ever seen one at our feeder, just in trees right by our place where we watch.
