Horse Barn

This horse barn is under construction near Medina, Ohio. Not the pile of walnut lumber under the low roof. That will be used on the walls, including the walls between the horse stalls! The stone exterior reminds me of the type of stone used in building barns in Lancaster, Pennsylvania. There is at least one barn in Holmes County, Ohio which is built in the same fashion. See below the home that sits on the same property as the barn. There will be a brick walkway between the house and barn!

Paying Respect

Going to pay respect for a gentleman who died of a massive heart attack! The wagon, is used to transport benches from one home to another for the Amish church services. These are also available for times like these. Note the battery-powered light which will light up the area for those coming in the late evening.

Lifer

After eluding me last Saturday, this species of bird was again heard yesterday, and I was able to get a glimpse of it, and get a photo, as well! It is a Field Sparrow. Lifer for Birders means it is the first time in your life that you have seen this bird, and identified it!

My wife and I go walking on a local trail. I see a bird, I try to photograph it, check it out with my binoculars, and before I know it she is far down the trail. After some 30 minutes I look into the distance, and I see her returning! She We are both in our “happy places!”
