My first Christmas morning taxi customer, as we were passing this eagle, wondered if I had ever seen it! I said no, pressed the red button for my hazard lights, and backed down the road, till I could get a good view of the bald eagle. I got out and grabbed a quick shot before going down the road. A nice gift by a thoughtful passenger, and we still arrived at our first destination two minutes ahead of schedule! In the coming year, let’s be alert to times when we can give gifts to others, even in simple ways, such as pointing out this regal bird to an avid bird photographer! Happy Holidays

What a nice surprise to see this beautiful bird at Choke Canyon in Texas!
This colorful bird posed for me, and then the mate flew by and lured the bird into the air! This was at Crescent Bend Nature Park in Schertz, Texas, near San Antonio. I have been on a two week business/pleasure trip in Texas, so my blogging has taken a back seat! Hopefully soon, more posts will appear! Hope you all have a great weekend!

This beautiful bird shows up to enjoy the sunflowers among the remnants of the wildflowers.

Downy Woodpecker enjoying the Lilac bush!
I set out for Force Rd. at the Killbuck Creek Wildlife Area in Wayne County, Ohio, to see if I could locate the King Rail, which had eluded me during at least 3 other visits! This time I was rewarded with a sighting of the birds, as well as the bonus of the other animals! Disclaimer: Some experts verified that these birds were the Common Gallinule bird! So it goes! Maybe next time!

Eastern Phoebe
