What is the most memorable gift you have received? My friend bought me a nice Canon SLR camera. He heard that my SLR was stolen, and so the gift was timely as well as memorable!

This cup has my go-to mug for 5 years. Now shattered it will be replaced, though I will still have a relationship with the person who gave it to me. I prefer shattered things, to shattered relationships. The truth is, relationships are a lot more valuable than things. Things have many good memories attached to them, but can easily be replaced. Now I have choices. I suspect, it will depend upon whether, I want a large or regular cup of coffee, to start off my day! The gift giver is like a granddaughter to me. Baba, means grandfather in Bangla!
This mug shows my love for the game of Scrabble! My memory escapes me, though this was likely a gift from someone.
This larger mug was a gift from my mother! She loves to give cutsie gifts!
While waiting for taxi customers, I found a library to sit at and work on “A Father’s Legacy” book. It is a book in which a Father answers questions concerning his childhood, to help his children get a picture of what life was like, then! I was given this book as a gift, probably 30 years ago! It will get finished. I had put many of the questions in my computer, so I could write things out, editing, etc. and then put the answers into the book in perfect penmanship, and with the same color pen. Well I did deviate with the same ink idea, and I suspect some of the words will be hard to read, since some of it was cursive, and written while holding the book on the steering wheel of my taxi van! Have a good day, leaving a legacy for someone.
My first Christmas morning taxi customer, as we were passing this eagle, wondered if I had ever seen it! I said no, pressed the red button for my hazard lights, and backed down the road, till I could get a good view of the bald eagle. I got out and grabbed a quick shot before going down the road. A nice gift by a thoughtful passenger, and we still arrived at our first destination two minutes ahead of schedule! In the coming year, let’s be alert to times when we can give gifts to others, even in simple ways, such as pointing out this regal bird to an avid bird photographer! Happy Holidays
My 95-year-old mother is stretching out the anticipation as she marvels at the wrapping paper on her gifts. I told her if she doesn’t hurry up, it will be Christmas till she gets the gifts opened! Of course it was Christmas! She had so much fun, as we also did, watching her excitement!
Merry Christmas to all our friends, whether virtual or otherwise! Trusting it will be a time of joy, hope and peace as many of you will be surrounded by family and loved ones.
Mixed feelings for us with funerals this week for a cousin, and a cousin’s husband. Christmas to remind us of the greatest gift of all, When God sent us his Son!!! The week will culminate with the wedding of a good friend! So may God give comfort to those that need comforting this season!
You do get to see a photo of my wife and I!
