Interesting to note the young girl in green watching me photograph the “photographer in red!”

This photo sure looks posed, but obviously I had their attention! Of course, it isn’t every day that a foreigner walks down this side street! I suspect this will be one of my favorite photos for 2023! Mohammadpur, Dhaka, Bangladesh

Shades of Autumn

I was privileged to spend time with my Uncle Joe’s family this weekend, as we celebrated Joe’s life. He lived to the ripe old age of 95. The photo is of a sunset over a farm near Kalona, Iowa.

Lake Fulmor on the road up to Idyllwild, California

Approaching Las Cruces in New Mexico from the west.

The Prothonotary Warbler makes his appearance, but can’t totally hide behind this small branch! I still remember the thrill I had, when I first saw this beautiful bird! For those who have seen these last posts of birding at Magee Marsh. Would you have preferred to see all the photos on one post, or would your preference be, to see one a day?

It is always a treat when this colorful orange and black, Baltimore Oriole shows up. We actually had some show up at our feeder this Spring! Likely they were just passing through, since we haven’t seen them recently. The catbirds do love the grape jelly we have put out for the Orioles!
No photos, but was pleased to have seen an Eastern Meadow Lark, Eagle, Pileated Woodpecker and a Kestrel during the last week!

“Looking Up,” seems like good advice for this year!
