Who knows what may show up on this blog in the next months! I sent my Sony a6000 in for repairs. They said it could be 3 months till I get it back. My phone’s camera is not that great, but it can record events! Maybe even get some nice photos. Till next time.

Not an orange flat screen, but a reflection!

The Real Deal

From the Farmers Almanac:
Corn Farmers’ Measuring Stick
“Knee High by the Fourth of July” is an old saying once used by farmers to measure the success of their corn crops. Years ago, if corn had grown knee–high by Independence Day, it was a good sign and meant they could count on high yields for the year.
It looks like a great corn harvest this fall.

It is still hay-making season!

The view from across the road!

The view from the neighbors the hill! Bonus: A beautiful flower border around the garden!

Another over-the-hill view from a different angle so as to include these hanging flowers!

Washington, Iowa, the town I was born in!

Nosalgia: Iowa the state where the corn grows tall! Just visited last weekend, and the corn is just getting a good start. Good to be “home” again! A great time with friends and relatives!
