I wasn’t sure which photo to post of my dear wife, who has a birthday today! So, for two months she is older than I am! Here she is doing what she does well! Spending time listening to people’s stories! This is my Aunt Mary Ann, who passed away two years ago! I am traveling for 20 days with five young Amish men, a trip to the West Coast of the USA. We have two weeks behind us, and one week ahead of us! Therefore, I will have to really celebrate Alice’s birthday when I return home!!

Enjoyed this site East of the Cascade mountains in Washington!

Vacationers on the “Samson” waiting to get off of the boat, after a one hour whale watch trip on the coast of Oregon. We did see 3-4 whales!

I tried to upload a mp4 file of this car driving through this tree! Somewhat WP didn’t let me do that!?! Somewhere there is a photo of my father and a car driving through this Redwood tree in 1946! I wasn’t sure if I would ever be able to see this tree or not! Now it happened! This is in the Redwood National Park, California!

One of our sharp-eyed gang saw these desert bighorn sheep (likely) nicely silhouetted in the blue skies! I don’t remember what they said they were.

Can you pick them out on the hilltop! This is the view with the naked eye! I appreciate my telephoto lens!

Have a good day!

Stellar Jay

I haven’t had a chance to check my life list of birds recorded, but I think this Stellar Jay, seen in the Yosemite Valley, is one of the birds that put my list over 300!

I met Ruth on the Mist Trail that leads up to the Half-Dome and Vernal Falls. This photo was on the Footbridge with Vernal Falls behind us. She was friendly and encouraging. I also met a couple from England, as well as a young man from England. I hiked this trail and the Mirror Lake trail in the Yosemite Valley, for a total of 6.5 miles including the walk from the parking lot, and returning halfway to the trail entrance to make sure the van was locked. It hadn’t been locked!

Am I Safe

Or Not

No wonder they are called, White-tailed Deer!

With such a nice morning, traveling to the wedding with an open carriage is a pleasant ride!

This Amish couple are traveling to a wedding with their “golf cart!” They are probably at the age, etc., that hitching up a horse for a trip wouldn’t be possible!

I have a dilemma! I still haven’t posted many of my photos from my weekend in Charleston, SC. yet! I also have got some nice photos this week, that haven’t been posted. On Monday I am heading for the West Coast, hoping to reach Yosemite National Park by Wednesday evening. This is a 20-day trip, so there should be some great photos coming up! See you then!

End of High School, and he end of the day! The beginning of the night, and the beginning of what’s ahead for graduates!
