A BIRDWATCHERS’ WINTER PICNIC AT Jahangirnagar University on February 4, the day of the Paki Mela!

Day 364

ALICE READING IN THE EVENING in the relaxing area beneath our lumbung. We stayed at Hotel Lumbung Damuh for the last five nights in Bali, including Christmas Eve and Christmas. It was a very relaxing place, with the background of the waves hitting the shore just 30 yards from our lumbung (Balinese style home on pillars)!

Day 358

MERRY CHRISTMAS TO ALL OUR FRIENDS!  We are having a relaxing day here in Bali, Indonesia, reading books, editing photos, taking photos, enjoying good food, etc.  Photos were taken at airport in Kuala Lumpur on our way from the U.S. A. to Dhaka in September.

 

Day 354

ALICE IS HERE AT “SUBWAY” restaurant eating her egg and tuna sub sandwich for breakfast.  We came back later and bought subs to eat either at the airport or enroute to Bali.  We are currently in a coffee shop called Cafe Espresso, eating out $2 subs, while I drank my $3 cup of capuccino coffee! 🙂 Don’t tell anyone.  Our flight leaves in 1 hour and 8 minutes.  We’ll catch up with you in Bali!

ALICE ENJOYING HER ICED COFFEE and I enjoying a orange/mango smoothie.  These photos are basically in realtime!  We are at the “Coffee Club” which opened yesterday!  A very nice place near what they call “Times Square!”

WELL IT’S FOR SURE!  ALICE AND I are spending Christmas in Bali.

HERE IS ALICE having a nice curried beef, rice, spicy potato, dal, and rice meal at Halim’s place.   Halim’s mother is on the right.  Her curries are some of the best we have tasted in Bangladesh.

MY DEAR SWEETHEART, “Walking in the Rain,”being watched by the ducks!  We enjoyed our trip to Mymensingh visiting different MCC projects.

HAPPY 11TH BIRTHDAY for sure to Jensen.  Here is a photo of our three grandsons, with Alice, my wife just before they said their good-byes before we returned to Bangladesh.  (L to R) Pruitt-Age 9, Riley-Age 6, Alice-Age 62,  and Jensen-Age 11. Don’t tell Alice I put her age on this blog!

FOURTY-FOUR YEARS AGO TODAY I met my beautiful wife, Alice.  Since we were innocent young 18 year-olds we decided to wait 1,000 days to get married.  It seemed like a loooong time!
