It was a pleasure to go birding with Ronald Halder, James Pender, and a professor from the university.  I also verified the bird in the book Ronald gave me, A Photographic Guide to BIRDS OF BANGLADESH.

Day 278

BEFORE TRAVELING TO KOLKATA I LOOKED UP SOME “BIRDINGPALS” on their website.     I contacted Arka Sarkar of Calcutta and he mentioned that he planned to go to  Chintamani Kar Bird Sanctuary. You can see it’s website at:  http://www.kolkatabirds.com/ckbs.htm

I would like to thank Arka for the enjoyable morning with him and his birding friends.  The one birder was a Pathologist, and others were workers in the laboratory. Arka is an IT worker.   I decided not to wait till I had all the photos post processed and the birds identified to post.  Hopefully that will come in the near future.
