Rubik’s Cube

My cousin’s son demonstrates his skill at solving the Rubik’s cube, while his cousin looks on. He had just come from a local competition in Des Moines, Iowa where he won several awards for his speed. I had never seen so many kinds of cubes before, or seen anyone solve them this fast. He solved the Rubik’s cube in his cousin’s hand in less than 10 seconds. The Rubik’s Cube in his hand took him much less than a minute to complete. I wish I could remember the exact times!?!

Death Comes

Today I ponder death, as we buried my cousin, Gerald. His death left an empty spot, but we all have pleasant memories we will cherish.

Our local cemetery is quite familiar, since my wife and I, walk here often at the break of day!

A family cemetery where my great, great, great, great-grandfather, Jacob Raber was buried south of Charm, Ohio. He emigrated to America from Germany in 1837.

Grief

I lost a cousin last week to an unexpected death! This farmstead is where our Grandfather had lived.  Privileged to be part of the Christ S. Miller family. Pray for us as we walk through our loss this week. Condolences to the immediate family. Gerald Miller, you will be missed.
