SINGER ON NEW YEAR’S DAY as a prelude to the puppet show at Dhaka University.

MY DEAR WIFE, ALICE  with the Mother’s Day gift she received from Austin’s.  Riley couldn’t wait to give it to her.  He crawled under the table and on to my lap, and gave her the gift bag as he said, “Happy Mother’s Day!” 

FRENCH FRIES at the American Club where we went with Austin’s and Dustin to celebrate Mother’s Day.

PUPPET SHOW:  LADY PRESENTING THE gentleman with a heart-shaped wreath of flowers.  It was a well done puppet show, adding to the Pahela Baishakh holiday experiences.

EVEN SMALL MANUAL DRIVEN ferris wheels have fares. In Bangla it is a nagordola.   10 taka (15 Cents) will get you a short “wild” ride!

ARTIST’S WORK ON HER CHEEK, RED EARRINGS,  AND FLOWERS IN HER HAIR, shows the lady’s New Year’s Day spirit.  It was a very festive day.

DUSTIN PONDERING the next chess move.  Him and I played many games of chess while vacationing in Darjeeling.

KANCHENJUNGA, the world’s 3rd largest mountain which was visible from Darjeeling where we spent 10 days with our family over the Christmas and New Year’s Holidays.
