Leather gloves I sewed and did the beadwork on some 30+ years ago. While flying in Northwestern Ontario with a Luscombe in the winter time they were essential! One morning I went to fly home after a meeting, and they said I should wait to go until it warms to 40 degrees below zero!! Brrr! If you didn’t know 40 degrees below zero is the same temp in Celsius and Fahrenheit! Below is the is a phot of the plane (FZA) that I flew for most of the 440 hours I accumulated as a pilot.

That’s me leaning on the hoe, second from the left. I would have been a freshman in High School, but maybe in 8th grade. The rest were Uncles and Aunts, Siblings, and Cousins. They had come from Ohio to visit us in Iowa. We had been hoeing weeds in the strawberry patch. In the background you see the green tent in our yard, where us boys slept since the guests were using our bedroom.

Side Note: As a taxi driver this is how I like the snow. Everywhere but on the driveways and roads! 🙂
