I was looking for a restaurant that was open on Eid ul Fitr, and I found this tea stand open. The gentleman on the left had recognized me from years ago when I frequented the Town Hall market to purchase meat, veggies, and or fruit, and for my morning breakfast. I had stopped at this tea stand several times in the last weeks, so the other gentleman also remembered me. I had ordered tea, so the gentleman on the left said he would pay for it. The other fellow asked me if I didn’t want something to eat to go with the tea, so I said I would take some. It was a piece of bread that you see in the bags that are hanging at the top of the photo. And when I had finished he said he would also take care of that. I love the Bengali hospitality!!!
