Happy Brother, Brother

My brother and I. I am the oldest!
The first photo was one of the first photos I took. Likely in 1961. The Amish girl was my classmate. The plane is the plane that I flew for  many of my total 440 hrs as a pilot. The last photo is of me and my son, enjoying breakfast because today is my birthday. Today is also World Photography Day, and National Aviation Day. So 3 things that make today special, and the reason for the three photos.

These photos are mine

They are somewhat similar

As I look at them

I missed National Photography day on the 19th, so I decided to post these photos in recognition of that day, and write the Haiku in recognition of National Poets Day. Maybe I was distracted on National Photography day since it was also my birthday! Maybe they also struck me as similar because both of their cultures are very conservative.

Happy Birthday: Dustin

My son’s 48th birthday is today! I decided to use a little editing in Lightroom.

We enjoyed a hike on Father’s Day, yesterday, so I posted these photos, since I have not photos of today’s events!

Farewell

This is a photo of me taking a photo at the Bangladesh National Martyr’s Monument in Savar. I say farewell, because we have a flight scheduled to return home to the USA on March 23. The three months here, felt like we had never left. So many memories, and good friends in Bangladesh.

What’s behind that gate?

This young girl and I were surprised when we both entered this hallway and saw each other. So many memories of visiting her Uncles at a different location. Now she is probably 10 years older, and so am I! 🙂 What a nice surprise!

Also inside gate is this special family: Masum and his family. I met Masum 15 years ago, and we played soccer (football) together for 8 years. A very good friend! I enjoyed playing with the children, and enjoyed a nice meal of curried fish & chicken, dal, and rice!

In “my happy place!”
