I decided to re-post this photo from 2010, to show what the Kanchenjunga mountain (World’s 3rd highest) looks like on a clear day, since during our recent visit the mountain could barely be seen through the clouds. This photo is from January 2010.
On the walking path past the Chowrasta in Darjeeling, I had taken a photo of these gentleman. Later we met them at Keventer’s Restaurant.
My dear wife being very patient while I was doing Bird Photography, and many times pointed out birds that I hadn’t seen yet!
Red–billed Leiothrix- Peking Robin-Nightingale- Babbler family-This was one of the birds that sat still long enough for me to get a photograph. I was using a Canon EF 7-300mm zoom lens. It was shot at ISO 1250/150mm/f 5.6 and 1/400th of a second. If I haven’t identified this bird correctly please let me know!
