HAPPY 11TH BIRTHDAY TO our grandson, Jensen Isaiah Miller!! Here he is trying to light the candles on his birthday cake.  He decorated the cake.  Of course this birthday celebration was early, since we were leaving for Bangladesh before his birthday.  Sorry, Jensen, Grandma’s calendar says your birthday is not till the 26th!

ROD MAST, THE LOCAL PHARMACIST, visiting with an Amish couple near the German Village grocery store complex.  I went to college with Rod, back in the 60’s.

DUSTIN, OUR SON making some Nan (Indian bread) that his brother Austin stirred up and rolled out.  Austin and Marita made a fine Asian meal including Chicken Tikka Masala.

FOURTY-FOUR YEARS AGO TODAY I met my beautiful wife, Alice.  Since we were innocent young 18 year-olds we decided to wait 1,000 days to get married.  It seemed like a loooong time!

TODAY I MET KARA AND LUCILLE, our renters.  We are fortunate to have such fine young ladies renting our house.  Sorry, no photo, so I decided to add the below photo.

GRILLED CHICKEN WAS one of the the barbecued delights we enjoyed from John Yoder’s grill.

BARBCUED SHRIMP was one of the tasty treats we enjoyed during our stay in the U.S.  These were grilled by John Yoder, with a little of my assistance.  If want to taste some good grillin’ you need to have one of John’s treats, including steak, chicken breasts, etc.

THANKS TO OUR FRIENDS, many whom we sat with around fires like this and shared our hearts, cried, and laughed!  Of course sometimes it included hot dogs, smores, etc.

A TABLE SPREAD for a special evening meal, which happened quite often in the last 3 months.  Dustin left this morning for Bangladesh.
