Day 221

ONE OF HALIM’S CALVES SUCKING ON Bailey’s finger!

Day 209

BAILEY DRAWS A CROWD ON THE west side of Dhaka near my friend Halim’s fish farms.  The last 26 days was a busy time with Bailey, but I suspect this will be the last photo of Bailey for awhile.  It seemed in a way like a 26 day family reunion, though besides us, Bailey was the only family member who arrived!

BAILEY WAVING GOOD-BYE TO ALICE AND DUSTIN as we are heading out to meet Cheryl who Bailey is going on to the airport with.  Bailey’s 26 day visit sure went fast.

Day 206

BAILEY DECIDES TO BUY A BURKHA!  These photos were taken at Taco Bell at the Boshundra City Shopping Center in Dhaka. Before

After

Bailey said she was tired of everybody staring at her as she traveled around Dhaka.

Day 203

Day 197

BAILEY IS STIRRING THE ALU (Potato) CHOP mixture with the proud Bengali cook looking on.

Day 196

BAILEY STARTS HER TRIP TO COX’S BAZAAR with Bangladesh’s variety of “Speed,” a high-energy drink.  With the Laboni Beach, speed boat ride to Maheshkhal Island, Buddhist and Hindu temples, Inani Beach with Coral boulders which were hidden because of high tide, Himchhari Falls, etc. it felt like we should have bought a case of Speed to keep us going.  It was a wonderful trip which we survived, including 2-14 hour bus rides to and from Dhaka!

BAILEY, MY NIECE ENJOYING  the waves at Cox’s Bazaar’s in Bangladesh.   This section is called Laboni Beach. At 75 miles, it is the world’s longest sand beach in the world. Notice the typical Cox’s Bazaar “swimwear” which is of course not typical Florida or California swimwear!

Day 192

BAILEY ENJOYING SOME COCONUT MILK IN THE VILLAGE.

Day 190

BAILEY DRESSED IN HER SARI READY TO GO visit our neighbors, and have an evening meal with them.
