THIS IS A COMMON VIEW OUT OUR HOTEL WINDOW ON SCHOOL DAYS!

I WAS SURPRISED TO SEE THESE STRAWBERRIES AT THIS TIME OF YEAR!  They let me taste me one, and I immediately bought a small pack to take back for Alice to taste as well.  We are enjoying our stay at the Hotel Encounter Nepal hotel.  The tub and hot water are a special treat for my wife, Alice!

A large pile of strawberries brings back childhood memories of picking 100 quart of berries on my parent's strawberry patch!

THIS WAS A SHOT I COULDN’T RESIST AS WE PASSED PHILIPP’S RICKSHAW.  He should be enjoying Christmas with his family in Switzerland!

I THOUGHT THIS AN APPROPRIATE PHOTO SINCE THIS POST IS FOR CHRISTMAS DAY!  I just figured how to post these posts ahead!  It was so simple it almost jumped out and bit me.  My apologies for the many posts than a lull until Christmas day. I hope I am enjoying Christmas Day in Nepal with my wife, Alice.  I suspect it will be chilly, and on a cloudless day we might see snow-capped mountains.

I COULDN’T RESIST SLIPPING THIS EXTRA BLOG SINCE I DO HAVE INTERNET ACCESS HERE IN OUR ROOM.

We went to this coffee since it had Wi-Fi!  That day it seemed to have a poor connection, but at least I could recharge my laptop battery!  So much for my skills at photography!  In the photo of me, my face is in focus.  In the photo of Alice her face is not in focus! Sorry, folks, maybe next time.

WE HAD A SPECIAL VISIT WITH FRIENDS.  WE HAD A NICE PASTA MEAL, FINISHING OFF WITH MISHTI, SWEET YOGURT, AND ICE CREAM.

I DECIDED TO SEE THE EFFECT OF A PORTRAIT IN AN ELEVATOR THAT WAS WALLED WITH MIRRORS! I like the effect.

THESE ANGELS WERE ADDED TO OUR COLLECTION OF CHRISTMAS DECORATIONS THIS YEAR. They were a gift from a friend.

THIS IS A GREAT SPOT IF YOU LIKE PORTUGUESE PERI-PERI CHICKEN COOKED BY THIS SOUTH AFRICAN CHAIN RESTAURANT. IT IS MY FAVORITE RESTAURANT!  Here is the menu in the UK: http://www.nandos.co.uk/themenu), which doesn’t differ much from the one I love in Dhaka, Bangladesh.

MY WIFE DID A WONDERFUL JOB OF BAKING AND DECORATING THESE CHOCOLATE CAKES.  I can vouch that they are the best chocolate cake I have eaten.  Hotel Dupont in Wilmington, Delaware makes a super Black Forest Cake, but that is in a different category!

WE WENT TO OUR HOUSEHELPER’S BIHARI CAMP FOR THIS CELEBRATION.  BIHARIS ARE KNOWN AS GOOD COOKS!

With the new uploading method I haven’t figured out how to post for later dates, so I will post enough photos for the rest of the year for my 366 days posts! Hope to spend some vacation in Nepal from Friday until after the New Year!

ROSANNA’S ARTISTIC ABILITIES REPRESENTED HERE!  The ISO was at 640 so the exposure was only 1/20th of a sec.  I should have upped the ISO to get a sharper photo.  So it goes!
