I love this ad on the wall of a building near Coffee World in Lalmatia!  It is likely because this is the kind of camera I used from 1964-66 when I was doing photography for my high school newspaper and yearbook!

Great style of camera! The good ole' days!

It was a great moment for me when I heard that one of my photos was accepted for TTL’s BIF5(Bangladesh in Frames5) photo exhibition at Drik Gallery in Dhanmondi, Dhaka, Bangladesh.

Here is a previous post of the photo that was accepted:       https://marlandphotos.com/2012/06/17/boli-khela-wrestling/

Here are some photos of the opening day of this event.

I shot this photo at ISO 5,000 which accounts for the grain.  It was at 21 mm, 1/50th sec, and f/3.5 using a 18-55 Canon kit lens.

Note the photographer in the mirror!  I got a haircut for 50tk (59Cents U.S.).

This is a photo of my wife and son who had to leave the crowded or occupied sidewalk for the street.  I confess that when we go somewhere they will choose to walk, while I take a rickshaw!

These are three of my friends. In the morning they walk around looking for paper and plastic they can sell for recycling. In the afternoon they go to school.  The shy one is hiding behind his bag!

Happy Easter! 100’s of Christians gathered in front of the Bangladesh Parliament Building for the annual Easter Sunrise service!

I’ve seen this bird most mornings at 5:45 on our morning walk around the Parliament building.  It too dark to photograph plus I don’t have my camera with me.  Today I decided to return later in the day.  I waited 10 minutes and gave up and headed home.  I had only taken 30 steps down the sidewalk when I saw this kingfisher swooping down on the water before perching in this tree.  I retreated and got some photos with a 70-300mm canon lens on my  7D camera.
