Does the cloud have a silver lining for Dhaka?
It’s been 1983 days since I started posting daily. I did some forward posting and some backward posting to keep up. I am soon heading for Switzerland for 12 days, and then 4.5 months in America, so have decided to post as I have time. Many weeks it may be daily, but we shall see. If you have any ideas of how I could improve my posts please give me a comment. It will not be discontinued, but I won’t have the pressure, that I put on myself, of having to post daily! So much of the news is filled with disasters, killings, and rapes. Today we received some great news: A woman was rescued alive after 400 hrs. (17 days) in a collapsed building!!

Rainbow In The West
I love this ad on the wall of a building near Coffee World in Lalmatia! It is likely because this is the kind of camera I used from 1964-66 when I was doing photography for my high school newspaper and yearbook!

It was a great moment for me when I heard that one of my photos was accepted for TTL’s BIF5(Bangladesh in Frames5) photo exhibition at Drik Gallery in Dhanmondi, Dhaka, Bangladesh.

Neighborhood Tea Stand
I shot this photo at ISO 5,000 which accounts for the grain. It was at 21 mm, 1/50th sec, and f/3.5 using a 18-55 Canon kit lens.
