Sitting on our porch, a favorite spot this summer. Our anniversary was in mid-June, and then later, Alice’s birthday. Soon after we celebrated 20,000 days since we met, way back in 1966. This week we were on a business trip and heard on Wednesday evening that my 97 year-old Mother had fallen and broken her femur. The next day (My 73rd birthday), I stopped in at 6 stores, in two states, and headed home, arriving by 10:20 pm, so we could be there for Mom’s surgery this afternoon. My wife and I are now the same age. I am sure we will find some time later in which to celebrate my birthday!
My taxi customer wanted to stop at this farmstead to say hi. She had lived here for the five years, that she taught school in Illinois. She was greeted with a big smile and hug! Lots of nostalgia, I am sure! The treasure of friendships!
Nice to see my friends showing their skills in my home town. I am heading to PA for an Alumni banquet, so couldn’t join the carvers. Good weather this year. Last year it was quite chilly!

I thought I would sneak this Belated Happy Birthday wish to my Son, Dustin, since this month is almost done. This is him in action on a day we went birding in North Central Ohio.
Who knows what may show up on this blog in the next months! I sent my Sony a6000 in for repairs. They said it could be 3 months till I get it back. My phone’s camera is not that great, but it can record events! Maybe even get some nice photos. Till next time.
My Mother gave my son a birthday gift bag. He had fun looking at everything, very much like my mother likes to do when she receives a bag full of gifts! Our grandson looks on.
