No hat rack available! A gentleman had passed on, and people were coming to pay their respects. I had taken some people, since I do taxi work for the Amish, and I was watching the people come and go. All of a sudden there was a gust of wind, and most of the hats blew my way, one of them even blowing onto the road! I rescued the hat, and put them all in a safer place, out of the wind! It is an important part of the culture. As I was outside my vehicle, after rescuing my cousin’s son, came over to visit, as well as another good friend, who had brought her parents. Some people walked, others rode bikes, and some came in their surreys, and some called a taxi, like my passengers. Have a great week!

Some trees are starting to show their autumn colors! Confession: This photo is one week old.

This reminds me of the water faucets we had on the farm. They were designed so they wouldn’t freeze up in the winter time! Not sure if Iowa was the name of the company that made them. These were in our local cemetery, and the “Iowa” caught my eye, since that is where I grew up.
