White-Tailed Buck

Our early morning walk on the Millersburg Rails to Trails trail rewarded me with this view!

My wife and I walked the trail near Millersburg this morning. The Killbuck Creek was full to the banks, the deer were inquisitive, and the birds active. I finally saw a Pileated Woodpecker up close. On my mobile I showed my wife what the woodpecker looked like, and sounded like. Within 100 yards of where existed the trail a Pileated Woodpecker crossed the trail right in front of us, and landed on a tree nearby! That was special.

Early Morning Grief Therapy Walk

On a morning walk with my wife! We are walking through the journey necessary when a loved one dies. Early Sunday morning Mother passed away at the age of 98 years and 2 weeks. A long and fruitful life!

My mother was a free spirit! At the assisted living home, the hospital, and at the rehab facility, they all enjoyed her humor, and realized that when she spoke, she had no filter! 🙂

As we look into the future I thought the silhouette of my wife was fitting. Also, it is always nice to see wildlife on our morning walks.

Many of you blog followers are great encouragers, and I thought you would like to know what we are walking through.

The last photo, is where I took Mom’s photo from. It was taken with one of our friends, and Mom, at Mom’s sister’s funeral in Kansas! A memorable photo.

Deer Turns into a Pickup

The Joke’s on us! We always are delighted when we see deer on our morning walk. I said I think a deer just crossed the trail in the distance! Upon uploading the photo to my computer and enlarging, I realize it was a pickup truck!! Funny

My wife at one of her favorite places for her daily morning walk, the entrance to the “Rails to Trails” trail in Millersburg.

She loves it when on her daily morning walk she sees deer!

Her other favorite place for her daily morning walk is Oak Hill Cemetery near our house. And as you see, she also at times sees deer!

Autumn Hike

2017 Finishes Up

I don’t remember whether we ever walked together in the rain, but we sure walked many miles together! Thanks, to my dear wife for being by my side through another great year! Lots of precious memories!
