Purple Martin houses are very popular among the Amish people. Here we see some action at the Martin House

Daisies are always special. We had daisies for our Wedding flowers. And then were shocked as we were hiking on our honeymoon, and right in front of us was a large patch of daisies.

The Joke’s on us! We always are delighted when we see deer on our morning walk. I said I think a deer just crossed the trail in the distance! Upon uploading the photo to my computer and enlarging, I realize it was a pickup truck!! Funny

From the Farmers Almanac:
Corn Farmers’ Measuring Stick
“Knee High by the Fourth of July” is an old saying once used by farmers to measure the success of their corn crops. Years ago, if corn had grown knee–high by Independence Day, it was a good sign and meant they could count on high yields for the year.
It looks like a great corn harvest this fall.
